The images of Kamala as a member of the influential Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority bring a smile to my face. Finally it seems that Generation X will have a place in the upper reaches of the executive branch as Kamala is fighting to become the first woman to be Vice President. Coming from a family with a Black father originally from Jamaica and a mother originally from India, Kamala will also will be the first person of Asian and Black ancestry to be VP.
