Monk Station

Image
Gregg Chadwick Monk Station 30"x30"oil on linen 2020 "Move towards the light", a friend said to me as we wandered the streets of Montreal on a crisp spring afternoon. My painting "Monk Station" is inspired by that day and depicts a saffron robed pilgrim in a 21st century urban moment. The monk is moving towards the light. Set in a subway station in Montreal, this painting looks at the place of the spirit in our fast paced lives. Honored that "Monk Station" was curated into Los Angeles Latest Collections by Briana Salatino, Fair Assistant at The Other Art Fair: https://www.saatchiart.com/art-collection/photography-painting-sculpture-drawing-new-media-collage/New-Originals-for-2000-Under-Week-of-Sept-27/1093891/631397/view Direct Link at  https://www.saatchiart.com/art/Painting-Monk-Station/25560/7473981/view Thanks again to everyone who enjoyed my paintings at  @theotherartfair #theotherartfair   #theotherartfairla   #art   #artshow   #la   #los...

by Gregg Chadwick Absolutely loved showing my art at the inaugural Los Angeles edition of The Other Art Fair . The attendance was amazing. My sales were strong. Fielding follow up transactions this week. To top it all off, the TOAF staff and volunteers were amazing and the camaraderie between the exhibiting artists was exceptional. Kudos to Nicole Garton, Sophie Lucas, Ryan Stanier, Emma Warren, Briana Salatino, Gina Hewitt, et al. Next stop Chicago, Los Angeles again, and more. As an exhibiting artist at TOAF - you make all the decisions - what work to bring, how to hang it...
