The Bicycle Rider - Verona

Gregg Chadwick
40"x30" oil on linen 2024

Back in the studio after a sojourn to Pebble Beach, California. Just put the finishing touches on my latest painting. My oil on linen artwork "The Bicycle Rider - Verona (Il Ciclista)" is set in the city center of Verona, Italy. Inspired by an art residency I had in this magical city, "The Bicycle Rider" celebrates the beauty and mystery of contemporary life. As day moves to night, a red headed woman stands tall near her bicycle in the Piazza delle Erbe, the ancient Roman forum of Verona. Has her journey ended or just started?
