Today and Every Day I Stand for Science!
Today and Every Day I Stand for Science!
Many dedicated researchers/educators/scientists attended @standupforscience2025 rallies all around the country today to protest funding cuts, illegal firings, and censorship of scientists. In response to the attacks, one of the most important things we can do is to visually show that science has strong support in this country, so please join the cause!
My painting "Evidence Based Science" is in the collection of the esteemed Dr. AfAf Meleis: Professor of Nursing and Sociology and Dean Emerita at @uofpenn where she served from 2002 through 2014. This followed her 34-year tenure as a nursing faculty professor at @uclanursing and @ucsfnurse

Lumen The Art and Science of Light at the Getty Museum
"To be human is to crave light. We rise and sleep according to the rhythms of the sun, and have long associated light with divinity. Focusing on the arts of western Europe, Lumen explores the ways in which the science of light was studied by Christian, Jewish, and Muslim philosophers, theologians, and artists during the “long Middle Ages” (800-1600 CE). During this period science (or the study of the physical universe) served as the connective thread for diverse cultures across Europe and the Mediterranean, uniting scholars who inherited, translated, and improved upon a common foundation of ancient Greek scholarship. Several contemporary artworks, including special installations by Helen Pashgian and Charles Ross will extend the exhibition’s reach throughout the Museum."
Supported by an indemnity from the Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities
Southern California’s landmark arts event, PST ART, returns in September 2024, presenting over 70 exhibitions from organizations across the region exploring the intersections of art and science, both past and present. PST ART is presented by Getty. For more information about PST ART: Art & Science Collide, please visit pst.art"

Santa Monica Airport Artwalk 2024 Was A Huge Success!
Wow! Over 1400 folks visited our studios during the latest 2024 edition of the Santa Monica Airport Artwalk. Thanks to all the folks who visited my studio and engaged with me, my family, and my art. Producer and creator Austin Ross and his partner the amazing (The Harder They Fall) Annabel Durst brought scintillating energy into my studio. My recent painted homage to Basquiat found a moment with Austin while @sergioarau looked on from the background with a copy of @la_weather_novel by @mariaescandon in his hands. Good vibes, good folks, good hope! Thank you @18thstreetarts , @cityofsantamonica, @stgactor
