100 years ago today: the U.S. Senate in 56-25 vote adopted what would become the 19th amendment “The right of the citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.” # 19thAt100 On this day in 1919, Congress approved the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting women the right to vote.
