“Story is our only boat for sailing on the river of time.” - Ursula K. Le Guin
"Your mind is more free. It can think, and is in the present. It can remember, and at once is in the past. It can imagine, and at once is in the future, in its own choice of all the possible futures.Your mind can travel through time!." - Eric Frank Russell
"I find myself drawn to artworks, architectural spaces, and transportation devices that meld the past and present. While living in San Francisco, I lived a few blocks from the Main Library and watched as architect Gae Aulenti transformed the Beaux Arts building into the Asian Art Museum. Aulenti referred to the mix of past and present in her architectural renovations as a 'double ambiguity.' With sketchbook and camera in hand, I roam spaces that carry this double ambiguity- sketching details, pulling visual moments, and jotting down ideas. My artworks invite the viewer into a deeper contemplation of time, memory, and our inherent meaning within the fabric of existence." - Gregg Chadwick
